You were appointed by God to sit at tables with those who operate in uncommon wisdom.
Leaders sharpening each other at the highest level. Each of us raising the next generation, so they don't miss what we carry.
Paul once admitted something that frustrated him. He couldn't speak to the believers in Corinth as spiritual people, only as infants, still on milk, because they weren't ready for solid food. Some rooms are full of people that aren't ready for what needs to be said in them.
You have work in front of you, and you're likely already doing it. What you may not have is a room where conversations take place at the level your spiritual life requires. Others who are also ready. People God has anointed to initiate, implement, and execute in the earth. The Plumbline is that room.
It exists for a second reason, too. Somewhere near every leader in this room is someone younger in life or faith that they already like having around. A son. A daughter. A protégé. Somebody hungry who doesn't know anything yet. Not working miracles yet. Not healing anyone yet. Not casting any demonic spirits out yet. Not into the depth of the Word yet.
They aren't missing it because it's hidden. They're missing it because nobody has invited them into the room where high level conversations happen, or sat with them long enough to hand over wisdom and knowledge from years of life with the Lord. So we come together to challenge each other, and we come together so the next generation doesn't miss what we carry.
Bezalel, in Exodus 31, was a builder, not a Levite or a priest. But he was the first person mentioned to have been filled with the Spirit of God. What the Spirit gave him was sight: the ability to see, in the Spirit, exactly what needed to be built, and the wisdom and understanding to not only pioneer it, but to finish it.
He wasn't filled alone, either. God appointed Oholiab alongside him and put in Bezalel's heart the ability to teach, until every craftsman in the camp carried the skill. The sight was given to one person, but it was never meant to stop there.
Leaders don't all get used the same way.
Sometimes God sends one to lay a foundation before anyone else can see what's coming.
Sometimes He sends one to build onto something He's already moving on, so it can carry more weight.
Most of the people who are invited into this room are going to feel pulled by all of this: builders who also carry something priestly, something apostolic, that doesn't clock out when the workday ends.
- I We study the same topics and material on our own, as God leads each of us by His Spirit.
- II We track what God is teaching the group through all of us, and we take notice of what God is actually doing in our midst right now.
- III We see and hear in the Spirit, and we say out loud what we see.
- IV Those of us who are mature in Christ will bring someone with us who needs to be around this type of conversation, and will mentor them 1 on 1 until they are mature in their walk.
God has given you wisdom that doesn't need to die in your grave.
Nobody comes here to showboat, and nobody being mentored by one of us comes here to get to the next level the way that works in business. The next level here is a different kind of maturity: the honor, the respect, the determination, the discipline in Word and prayer, the patience it takes to raise up sons and daughters of God in the earth, and the vigor to keep showing up until they get there.
I believe God is calling us to become good stewards of what we've already received, and to raise up a generation that walks in miracles, healing, deliverance, and depth in the Word. To intentionally see those God is calling us to walk with for who God calls them to be, and to impart to them from what God has given us.
05 · Where we begin
We'll meet in a private app that we'll all download to our phones.
Each of us contributes to the Plumbline from what we study and obtain from God on our own. Each one brings back what we actually received, and lays it next to what everyone else received. God doesn't always reveal everything to one person. He often reveals in a manifold way, piece by piece, across the room, until what we hold together is bigger than anything any of us walked in with.
Different callings, different assignments, all carrying authority, converging around whatever the Lord is actually saying and doing right now. Not a program. Just the leading of the Lord, studied, shared, and acted on at the highest level, because everyone in this room is anointed, obedient, and serious.
This isn't a program, and nobody here is selling you anything. Nobody is asked to lead the room. Most of you already lead everything else you touch. This is different.
